PREFACE

Welcome to the JTK Symposium 2024! This semi-closed symposium was initiated in 2016 by three founders from Japan and Taiwan, with the aim to allow young pediatricians and researchers in the East Asia to present the results of their clinical and basic research in pediatric allergy. The symposium allows the participants to grow together through free and lively discussions. The meeting has been held every year alternately in Japan and Taiwan, although there was a temporary interruption due to the Corona pandemic, has achieved a lot of success. Since 2023, researchers from Korea have joined the program, expanding the circle of friendship and joint research. I would like to express my sincere gratitude to everyone involved for making it possible to hold the conference in Nagoya this year. Please join us for lively discussions.

會議結束，跟著大家到附近漂亮的景點爬山，太開心了!

日本．三重｜御在所空中纜車 Gozaisho Ropeway

搭乘御在所鐵塔纜車，美麗的自然景觀，從標高約 400 公尺的湯之山溫泉站開始搭乘纜車前往標高約 1180 公尺的山上公園站，單程約 15 分鐘。

抵達山上公園站之後還有纜車博物館以及美食餐廳，除了搭乘纜車之外更可以了解纜車的歷史，在玩樂中學習。

四十幾歲了，竟然還有懼高症的感覺，緊扶著唯一的把手，後來慢慢習慣了，就不會那麼怕了。

在日本三重醫院過敏科受到兩位日本教授的接待及指導，心中充滿感恩。這是有史以來我感動最深刻的學習歷程。

Takao 教授還提供了我們免費的宿舍，那時候氣溫變化相當大，最低溫10度，中午氣溫高達25度。

跟著Takao 教授在門診，病房、研究室與fellow 討論隔天的醫療處置。實在佩服教授們的耐心及苦心。

Takao 教授 : 當有外國醫師來參訪學習的時候，我很開心，因為可以教育我的學生，也可以指導其他國家的醫生，讓日本對食物過敏診斷及治療分享到全世界。

因為我們兩位來自台灣的過敏科醫師，比較年輕的主治醫師及次專科受訓的醫師必需用英語口頭報告，讓我們了解病人的狀況。
 

這當中印象最深刻的，有兩位來自三重醫科大學五年級的醫學生，Takao 教授請他們用英語做病例報告，他們也相當認真，先用 CHAT gpt 翻譯成英語，記錄在小筆記本。

教學過程中Takao 教授請我不斷考考醫學生，詢問醫學生有哪些過敏病人的病史、診斷等，醫學生臉上掛著數滴大滴汗水，似乎看到我當醫學生焦慮、緊張的表情。

Takao 教授還是很有耐心地解釋，為什麼台灣的醫師會詢問這些問題，如何區分血管炎等疾病，抽血檢查的原因。
